Dhaka, September 2, 2026: The price of a 12-kilogram LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk 13 to Tk 1,585 for September, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced on Wednesday.

The new price will come into effect from 6pm today, according to a press release issued by the commission.

Under the latest adjustment, the price of LPG has been lowered by Tk 1.03 per kilogram. In August, a 12kg LPG cylinder was priced at Tk 1,598.

The revised prices for other LPG products include Tk 727 for a 5.5kg cylinder and Tk 1,652 for a 12.5kg cylinder. The price of autogas has been set at Tk 73.09 per litre.

The price of government-supplied LPG remains unchanged at Tk 776.93 for a 12.5kg cylinder.

BERC said the new prices were determined based on Saudi Aramco's contract price for the current month, shipping costs and the average US dollar exchange rate of Tk 123.30.
