Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Series 12, the latest addition to its flagship smartwatch lineup, at its “Surprise and shine” event in Cupertino.
The Series 12 succeeds the Apple Watch Series 11, which introduced features including 5G connectivity, hypertension notifications, sleep scoring and improved battery life. Apple has kept the starting price at $399, despite price increases affecting several other products this year.
The new smartwatch is among the first major products introduced under Apple CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on September 1 after previously heading the company’s hardware engineering division.
Apple is continuing to reveal more details about the Series 12 during the event.
