A technical malfunction at a floating LNG terminal in Moheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar, has cut gas supply to the national grid by nearly 450 million cubic feet per day, leading to a severe gas shortage in Dhaka.

The supply disruption has significantly affected CNG filling stations across the capital, forcing motorists to wait for hours to refuel. Several stations have also halted CNG sales after exhausting their available gas supply.
