President Urges Police to Strengthen Law Enforcement and Crime Control

President has called on the Bangladesh Police to discharge their duties with honesty, dedication and professionalism to maintain law and order and combat crime.

The President made the remarks during a courtesy meeting with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir at Bangabhaban.

He stressed that police must take a firm stance against criminals while ensuring fair and humane treatment of law-abiding citizens. He also directed the police force to take immediate and appropriate measures to strengthen the rule of law.

The President placed particular emphasis on taking strict action against cybercrimes, including the spread of misinformation, false information and rumours, as well as robbery, extortion and the proliferation of drugs.

He also called for effective measures to ensure the overall safety and security of women and children.
